Ride and Stride: Welcome

Ride+Stride is a sponsored event in which people walk or cycle or horse-ride between churches, whilst exploring our wonderful Dorset countryside and enjoying the hospitality of our church communities.

The money raised (another  record of £87,295 in 2018) is used to help conserve Dorset’s churches, chapels and meeting houses and to help keep them active and at the heart of their communities for the use of future generations. Half of the money raised is returned directly to your nominated church and the other half is used to fund our grant programme.

ST MICHAEL'S CHURCH BEER HACKETT

SATURDAY 14th SEPTEMBER

 John Bingham writes:

Call for an hour or two of your time ...

The five yearly (quinquennial) inspection of our church building and grounds highlighted a significant number of maintenance tasks, some of which can be undertaken by a ‘DIY’ approach rather than needing professional expertise and resources.

The church will be open all day on Saturday 14th September  to welcome Ride and Stride visitors and this will be an opportunity to hold a cleaning and maintenance day.  There is a wide variety of jobs just needing willing hands and some elbow grease for an hour or two.  Help from anyone able to spare some time would be most welcome.  Materials, tools and refreshments will be provided.
